So then Terry, pick a passage, any passage at all. Show it to the 'audience'. Now, let each offer their respective 'interpretation' (after seeking the Spirit's guidance of course). Then, not unlike the middle ages where guilt or innocence was determined by submerging the plaintiff under water for a time beyond human endurance. Those who drowned were innocent. We'll use the standard that anyone disagreeing with Terry, Judith or Linda does not 'have' the Spirit of God. Thereafter we'll 'judge' their participation, particularly when quoting Scripture, accordingly.

Must be a slow day at the book store.
Allow me to explain how the Holy Spirit works Lance.
He is a gentleman.  He only goes where He is invited.  If you want His counsel, He will give it.  If not, He will never trouble you.  You can "Quench" His desire to speak to you. If you prefer to get another human's perspective rather than His, He will not twist your arm. He will allow you to chart your own course.
He will not give you more at one time than you can comprehend, and when you do comprehend that He is speaking to you one on one, and has revealed something wonderful to you, it is exciting.  Much more exciting than getting it second hand from some "authority".

I do not have all truth, but He is guiding me in that direction.  This week I have more truth than I had last week and for that I am extremely grateful.
I have found Him to be not only a comforter but also a teacher, when I am willing to be taught.
Try Him out.
Terry
