It took me one e-mail to realize that David was one
who likes to challenge people to back up what they
believe. I believe that he is trying to have an honest
conversation with you. He just wants to see what page
you are on. Then if he disagrees he backs up his
beliefs with scripture. To say, "Absolutely no one
would conclude your defense from your questioning," is
an error.
I think that you should willingly accept his
explanation because he is the person who made the
statements. He knew what he meant.
I know what it feels like to misread someone's e-mail.
It has happened to me many times. But when I talked
with the person they explained what they meant. It
made it much easier to uinderstand where they were
coming from. But, I also took them at their word when
they explained things.
