jt: It is prophesied of Jesus of Nazareth "Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows" (Heb 1:9) so it looks to me like those of us He left an example to follow in His steps should do likewise lest we find ourselves calling good evil - calling evil good and not being able to tell our right hand from our left. (Judy)

You're preaching to the choir here. This is well said, but I don't think it applies to what I've been trying to say. (Slade)

jt: The Levitical Law (Law of Moses) was a Covenant given to the Nation of Israel which is fulfilled in Christ who is the Promise given to Abraham. Israel looked fwd and we look back to the same Promise.

I don't look back to the same promise and neither does anyone else of my ilk. We LIVE IT.

Since we no longer live in a theocracy tell me how one is to fulfill commands 33, 34, 35?

We can't

Are you going to go around breaking secular law and burning down cities?

Are you suggesting God is evil for suggesting it?

Not ever buying anything made in China etc?

Is that a bad idea?

This is putting yourself back under the letter of the law and the letter kills, it's the Spirit that gives life.

Your lack of understanding is flabbergasting.
My eyeglasses are fine. You should check it out Slade - Read Galatians 5:1-4.  Circumcision is part of the same law and Paul writes in Vs.2 that if you are circumcised then Christ profits you nothing. This is not to say that circumcision is not of some benefit healthwise but if done to fulfil some religious ritual then Christ is made of no effect.

Wrong. Circumcision done in order to complete salvation does one nothing. If one does it out of obedience and out of love for God, it avails MUCH. It, then, is the spirit of the Law that brings life. Your attitude against Torah is the letter that kills.

jt: The Lord knows those who are his Slade, and let everyone who names the name of Christ DEPART from iniquity.

Exactly which is why this whole thread against hatred began.

jt: I don't know about that, we are not supposed to be judges of the "redeemed community" because then we make ourselves judges of the Law, although there should be some in leadership who discipline spiritually.

Since you've contradicted yourself, let me try to explain. According to Matt 18, we ARE to judge each other. The meter by which we use to judge we ourselves will be judged. This has caused many Christians to say "DO NOT JUDGE" because they want no judgment at all. Those are like the servants who bury their single talent. Since I've seen you judge repeatedly on this forum, it probably stands for reason you do it outside this forum, though quietly and in your mind, I'm sure.

I have all I can handle trying to deal with myself.

Which is why you probably aren't in leadership... and if you are in leadership, you should step down.

However, we are supposed to have our senses exercised so that we are able to discern between good and evil. Yassir Arafat is reportedly a homosexual terrorist who steals from his own people keeping them impoverished and bound; he respresents the epitomy of evil.

REPORTEDLY???? Since you don't know, why did you bring it up?
