Scientist do not concern themselves with events that are truly unique.   For what it’s worth, John, actually they sometimes do BECAUSE it’s unique.  My husband Is writing a paper on a newborn with such an unusual combination of eye diseases that it was entirely unique.  Other ophthalmologists find that case and it’s treatments to be very interesting and educational.  Izzy
