You've read between the lines and insinuated they have rejected Messiah or that they've never heard the Gospel, and this has no bearing on my post.

jt: Why Slade? One or the other of these scenarios must be so. Knowledge of the Truth would liberate them so that they could put away this outward form of religion and serve the living God in Spirit and in Truth. Jesus did not appear to be impressed with this in Matthew 23:5.

Her "sadness" comes because she apparently misunderstands their reverence for God and His Word. Their reverence is not just lip service. Why doesn't she feel the same way about the "people who appeared to be from the Middle East" (a quote from one of her posts)?

jt: How can you know whether or not they are worshipping from the heart or if this is something they do by rote. As for me, I have the same sadness toward well meaning but misguided Muslims who pray toward Mecca three times a day. No matter how sincere the reverence when the sacrifice is not presented God's way it is rejected. Jealousy over this is why Cain slew Abel.

Thankfully (in my opinion) no person (Jew or otherwise) will be committed to "hell" without first hearing an adequate presentation of the Gospel. -- slade

jt: I agree with your thought above Slade because we know it is not God's will that any should perish. However, many will do so and that by their own choice, not God's will.

SLADE: Your response is deeply saddening.

TERRY: These folks that Judy observed had probably never heard the Gospel,
or they had heard it and rejected Jesus as Messiah? Why would she not find
it sad that such people were sincere, but lost? Can you explain why this
would sadden you, 'cause evidently I missed something.
