There are those who think they are in Christ and still have struggles. It's a daily struggle to make that change. I know one such person who speaks out against homosexuality, yet struggles with it as he condemns others to hell for it. I find that amazing. I think some truly believe they are of Christ and would say they are not cut off.Kayjt This is where the 'repentance' (that John says he doesn't believe in) comes in. Jesus does not deliver us from ourfriends. We must first agree with God that sin is an enemy, call it what it is, and be willing to turn from it before wewill receive the power to overcome it in our lives. God is not mocked. We will reap as we sow. Homosexuality is astrong addiction and we should pray for the person you describe above Kay. His condemnation of that particularlifestyle is scriptural (1 Cor 6:9) so let's not lower the bar in the name of fleshly compassion. When the root in aperson's heart is Jesus and they choose to walk in obedience to Him - they will be made free, no question ...In a message dated 12/20/2004 1:31:44 AM Pacific Standard Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes:

People CAN/DO change - when they are in Christ (2 Cor 5:17)
However, the rebellious, stubborn and obdurant are another matter
entirely and the current incarnation "community" fad on TT makes
no difference at all - God cut them off under the Old Covenant and
if there is no repentance forthcoming they are also either cut off
or else they never enter into the New Covenant in Christ..
I will let Kay speak for herself, but there are many sins, whose root remains with us (addictions and lusts that have been lived out and are full blown circumstances.) I already know that you will not agree, but I have seen a number who would come to the Lord but for the belief that they must first defeat their sin problem. I think a gospel that preaches such is a false gospel.
