That's not what I'm meaning, Judy. You said people CAN/DO change when they are in Christ. I'm saying many say they ARE in Christ, and make out to others that they are, but really aren't.

What I'm saying is...this man calls others names and condemns them to hell...for the same sin he is participating in secret. He totally believes he is "heaven bound" and righteous. he refuses to be under the teaching of anyone else as God speaks directly to him and he teaches others. I don't get it. It's like the pot calling the kettle black.

jt: If the above is the case then the man is massively deceived and at present out of reach; best to let him
alone.  God will deal with him.

There are those who think they are in Christ and still have struggles. It's a daily struggle to make that change. I know one such person who speaks out against homosexuality, yet struggles with it as he condemns others to hell for it. I find that amazing. I think some truly believe they are of Christ and would say they are not cut off.

jt This is where the 'repentance' (that John says he doesn't believe in) comes in.  Jesus does not deliver us from our
friends. We must first agree with God that sin is an enemy, call it what it is, and be willing to turn from it before we
will receive the power to overcome it in our lives. God is not mocked.  We will reap as we sow.  Homosexuality is a
strong addiction and we should pray for the person you describe above Kay. His condemnation of that particular
lifestyle is scriptural (1 Cor 6:9) so let's not lower the bar in the name of fleshly compassion. When the root in a
person's heart is Jesus and they choose to walk in obedience to Him - they will be made free, no question ...
