Kay: I'm genuinely struck by your surprise over this duplicity. Have you ever seen the 'televangelists' ?(Watch 'Leap of Faith - Steve Martin). We must first agree with God that sin is an enemy, call it what it is, and be willing to turn from it before we will receive the power to overcome it in our lives. God is not mocked.  We will reap as we sow.  Homosexuality is a strong addiction and we should pray for the person you describe above Kay. His condemnation of that particular lifestyle is scriptural (1 Cor 6:9) so let's not lower the bar in the name of fleshly compassion. When the root in a person's heart is Jesus and they choose to walk in obedience to Him - they will be made free, no question ...
