John writes: I will let Kay speak for herself, but there are many sins, whose root remains with us (addictions and lusts that have been lived out and are full blown circumstances.)   I already know that you will not agree,  but I have seen a number who would come to the Lord but for the belief that they must first defeat their sin problem.   I think a gospel that preaches such is a false gospel.  John

jt: I agree - What kind of a gospel tells ppl that there is any power in the old fallen Adamic nature that would enable to them to defeat their
demons?  It was Christ who led captivity captive and only in Him can we find rest for our souls.  We may come as we are but He doesn't
leave us that way.

Life makes warriors of us all.
To emerge the victors, we must arm
ourselves with the most potent of weapons.
That weapon is prayer.

People CAN/DO change - when they are in Christ  (2 Cor 5:17)
However, the rebellious, stubborn and obdurant are another matter
entirely and the current incarnation "community" fad on TT makes
no difference at all - God cut them off under the Old Covenant and
if there is no repentance forthcoming they are also either cut off
or else they never enter into the New Covenant in Christ..
