agree. The glass references mentioned here do not refer to the same thing. I Cor
13:12 is merely allegory, whereas James 1:25 refers to Torah. The glass in I Cor
13:12 is referring to a "dirty" window while James 1:25 refers to a
mirror.

I can't imagine that the Paulinemeister was speaking of anything other than spiritual maturity. His illustration ("when I was a child .......") and the very Greek word (Yikes !!) itself go a long way. The notion that if one can make two unrelated passages "fit," revelatory truth has somehow come to light, is so foreign to me, even dangerous.
