msg had to be evaluatd in Berea, too..that's bec there is no biblical
theology devoid of either personalization/s or socialization/s..and, these
(p&s's) are assembled relative to certain assumd values and
presuppositions..all theology is not only experientially organizd, it is
relatively experimental even in the hardest bitten 'orthodoxy'..thus the
creeds..thus, too, of necessity, wisely, all theology is
negotiable..however, as the creedalists realiz/d, all such experiments and
negotiations may (or may not) be transacted within biblical
perameters..these biblical perameters also are negotiable or
non-negotiable; and, this observation, rootd in several yrs of
TT experience, captures our situation precisely..TT rubber meets
road (also) with typical (e.g. Nicene) friction..perhaps, in sum, like
at Nicea, the 'friction' (here) is the degree to which all
participants are/are not 'negotiating' such perameters existentially,
virtually, per post..

contra-ref to 'Servaitus' includes the critique that Calvin operated acc to
'Mosaic code'/theology in Geneva (which may not be true given the nature of the
reference so far..e.g., is it from 'Philip Schaff'? so what?)..regardless,
if this ref proves to be valid, then think about the lengths to
which non-negotiating tendencies, as above, will travel..inexhorably into
contradiction (validatg, at least in part, contr G, Bill's public
observations):

suspect, correctly IMO, Calvin himself continues to have a
tremendous influence on our lives, but for stranger reasons than certain ppl,
partic 'non-negotiable' types, typified abv have yet to
realize..
think abt the
implications of it 'assuming' Servaitus was burned at the stake due to the
role/force of 'Mosaic code' in Calvinistic Geneva..
a reasonable
