Prophets stopped
MT11:13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
John 8:52 Abraham is dead, and the prophets;
Past Tense: Rom 1:2 Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures
Prophets can not go against what has been already revealed in the word
1 Co 14:32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
Is 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
We have a Prophet now Jesus who is eternal and all powerful
Luk 24:19 Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people

God spoke past tense by prophets NOW he speaks thru the Son

There are these kind out in abundance
They SAY they are Prophets, Apostles, even Christs
Put them on TRIAL
1Jn 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
MT 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
MT 24 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

To me to no t define Christian leaves it pretty much in the air. Can a person who does not have a definition for Christian really be a Christian? Just thinking out loud on this....go easy on me! :-) .
