It was the Battlestar Galatica that was based on LDS doctrine.

BLAINE:  Even when we are "sure" of something, it may turn out to be wrong.  Rashly judging something such as the Shroud of Turin to be a fake, or the Book of Mormon, another example, puts one out on a limb from which it is sometimes difficult to extract oneself.  Called eating crow!

 

 

The Shroud of Turin could feasibly be the real thing—unlikely, but within the realm of possiblity.  The BoM is about as real as the Starship Enterprise. In fact, maybe that’s where it originated. Izzy
