jt: I don't think so John.  Empathy and fleshly compassion are close kin.  Deliverance in the power
of the Holy Spirit is close kin to real spiritual discernment - for those who want to be free that is.



Christ became like us to better serve us.   That is empathy incarnate.   I understand, however, that those who are not empathetic will see it as some sort of demon doctrine  --   denying its existence even in the life of Christ.

It seems to me that the real test of human empathy is what we actually DO for those less fortunate than us.  (vs the talk we talk.)  God will be the judge of that, and not one of us on TT. Izzy
