I think Debbie's message to us is encapsulated by the following passage:

(19) Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to
speak, slow to wrath:
It is godly and virtuous to be patient, meek, humble, to consider a matter
carefully, and to seek to be of the same mind with one another. Surely you
did not get out of that in 1972, did you? What is wrong with being a little
slower to respond? I think if many of us waited 1 day to respond to a post
rather than whipping out a response right away, our posts would take on a
higher quality. I think some responses would be somewhat different than
what we presently read.
