So on the one hand NEO's are not sure just what the real Truth may be. On the other they want all to be puffed up & scholarly

Guys like Barth or Einstein have relevance only for the scholars and
thinkers, whether one agrees with them or not. What impact has either of
these two had upon how the average Joe lives? The homeless man on the
street, or the young single woman in the projects trying to raise eight
children by herself, does Barth or Einstein fit into their life in any way?
No. What fits into their life is a man or woman who simply serves them,
shares God's simple truth from Scripture with them, ministers to their
earthly and spiritual needs.

The Scriptures teach us that knowledge puffs up (1 Cor. 8:1). It is a
pitfall for some students of the Scriptures to think they have something
great in Barth, or for some scientists to think they have found something
great in Einstein, but these are simply men who have offered a unique
perspective that has surprised some people. Salvation is not found in good
works, but neither is salvation found in good theology. It is difficult
sometimes for the scholar to remember this. Salvation is found in loving
one another. It really is that simple, and the only way to love one another
is to practice faith in Jesus Christ and abide in his teaching.

Peace be with you.
David Miller.
