Amen and Amen, Terry! I'd say 'case closed'. The 'horse' is dead. Let's not kick it beyond this. For those on TT who hold to a position other than this one, I'd simply say 'God bless you'. You are not going to change anyone's mind so, don't get either angry or defensive, please.

The fact of the Word and our mutual regard for its primary place centers our attention and presents a circumference to our discussion without  (and here is the miracle I think) setting any limits to our progress in The Life.          I must add that "verbal and plenary inspriation" is no more the workings of God than an appeal for the "providential" supply of the Word.

In your opinion were the men who wrote inspired?

Paul teaches that the scriptures were inspired.  However, when he taught that, the scriptures were the old testament.  The new one had not been completed.  My assumption is that both were inspired by God.  My definition of inspired means that the Holy Spirit drove them to write their message.  I do not think that the Lord dictated every word any more than He would have told Noah where to put every nail while building the ark.
