Jt says 'Philosophy has nothing at all to do with what I am about...'

'It is not necessary that so many people should read the philosophers for their ideas to prevail. Deadly viruses produced in the high country of the mind' can get into the streams, run down and be picked up by the plants below; the sociologists and psychologists, the imaginative writers, novelists and poets, who grow them into edible form on which thousands unwittingly feed.' (Everyman Revived - The Common Sense of Michael Polanyi)

Once again Gary has uttered a pentrating observation. Judy, your response illustrates that of which I spoke yesterday. Thereafter I was taken to task by Izzy and Terry. If you asked for clarification instead of 'launching' then both you and the rest of us would benefit from Gary. Gary exhibits discernment. I, for one, would like to hear much more from him. I'm still trying to understand why it is that the best teachers on TT (Bill, Gary, Caroline, JD and, Jonathan) usually elicit responses entailing blanket dismissal (granted, your responses are accompanied with 'biblical support'(?))

this is cultic bible 'teaching', forcing the Word to conform to personal (in this case, philosophically dualistic) norms

jt: Philosophy has nothing at all to do with what I am about; neither will it help anyone understand God's Word in which
like it or not Satan is an ever present reality, and guess what?  He talks to people.. folk who listen and regurgitate thinking it is their wisdom become oracles for the devil.

You express some concern about the rehabilitation of Judas along with JD who appears to think he may still have had a productive future or something like that - But what are you going to do about Satan who actually entered into him? (John 13:27); maybe you could locate some Jewish exorcists or even better chastise the apostle John for his philosophic dualism and help him to write it more accurately.
