Regarding John Paul.  I am not a liturgical kind of guy  --  I don't like liturgical ceremony, hugging (real men do not do this sort of thing, as you all know) and the like.   The Pope was really kind of like me on this.   One of his closest aids was quoted as saying that John Paul cared least, as the Pope, for the kiss on the hand or on his ring.   He saw it as an acceptable tradition, but did not care for it personally.  

I prayed for him on several occasions  --   that he would be given the strength of mind to finish his life doing what he saw as the business of the Lord.   He obviously wanted to work until the very last minute.  

As a man, I see him as a man's man.   And I am sure that God will take a good long look into John Paul's heart.  

Anyway  -----------    God answered my prayers.
