Both Kings and Chronicles refer to a history book, "the annals of the kings of Israel" or the "book of the kings of Israel and Judah". They keep saying if you want to know more, read that. But we don't have that book anymore so how can we! The things that get lost because books were so darn fragile and expensive! By the way, the Torah itself was lost. 2 points for the one who knows when it was rediscovered. Bonus points for anyone who can pinpoint when the Ark of the Covenant was last seen in the bible.
