Jt says that 'calling him king is sarcasm'. Shall we direct this question to David himself? What did 'hail David' mean?
The important thing, vis a vis the 'king' thingy', is what God says on this matter. Does David or, anyone in relationship with him, think this of him? (i.e. that he is, in reality, some sort of king?)

Each participant, on TT, has made observations concerning David. IMO, David DOES NOT UNDERSTAND WHY HE IS SO PERCEIVED. THAT, IMO, IS QUITE ASTOUNDING. Unless they live in fear of the man, I'd think that his wife, family and friends woud have observed what many on TT have observed.

Not even close  --  hatred expects and desires harm.  I hope only the best for King David.  I was quite taken with David in the beginning.

jt: What happened to change your mind - I can't see that he has changed?  Calling him King is sarcasm, so you are not walking in love toward him.

If David is as gifted with others and he is in his understanding of me  --   he needs to take up golf.

jt: You do the same with me JD. I have to say the same thing over and over ad nauseum and you still misquote and misunderstand constantly... but sigh!  Love is patient and since God has been so longsuffering with us, we have no right to demand ... If you don't agree with him then at least raise a rational objection with a basis in scriptural or other grounds These personal attacks are a downer - they don't edify anyone.  jt

That I do..

jt: I must have missed it then.  I've not seen a well thought out scriptural argument to anything David has written from you or Lance only ridicule, sarcasm, and derogatory personal evaluations.

This is a true statement, John, but I'm not sure you understand it.

If this sentence stood alone,  Judy,  no criticism would be due.  But,  David has majored in condescension on so many occasions  that his sentence, here,  opens the door to criticism.

jt: He says he is "not sure" so why not just explain that you do understand it and then tell him what your understanding is?

DM: I think we all have agreed previously that the one who is perfect in love does not sin.

David thinks that he can manipulate the discussion with statements such as this one.   He uses this tactic fairly often.   The fact of the matter is this,  "we" have never agreed that one who is perfect[ed] in love does not sin.

jt: Why not, don't you believe 1 John 3:9 is included with the rest of scripture?  Also why are you always looking for "tactics"  I don't see this at all in what DM writes.

David, you miss Judy, and others do not understand what it means to be "falling short of the glory."   THAT, I believe, is one of the central issues in the continuing debate between the Two Camps.   Gideons Gospel Crusaders, the A Team,  Camp Solidarity,  the Righteous Triad  holds to the biblical teaching that we have been perfected by Another  --  that righteousness is, in deed,  a desire of God;  so much so that, while he waits on our efforts at same,  He has declared us to be righteous because of faith !!!!!

jt: I do understand what missing the mark means JD and I'm sure DM understands this also - Where we differe is that you are claiming that Jesus did it all, that everything you stand in is His. Whereas my belief is that, He paid the price and made the way but now we are supposed to walk in it.  Faith without corresponding actions is considered by God to be dead - So when we love Jesus and believe what He says we obey Him and obedience is really the bone of contention here.

The B Team, those who have taken the fun out of Fundies,  Camp Justice,  the Inspired Interpreters of the Whats Happening Now Church of the Not So Eternal Firstborn,   they prefer the teaching that God is not only limited but stymied in His ability to save mankind;   salvation is going to heaven because we do the right things;  and hell is a ponding basin for Gideon's Gospeleers.  Faith verse works.   The oldest conflict in the church's long and storied history.

jt: In your mind maybe JD. I don't struggle with that controversy at all - never have. Obedience is not works, it is the natural outgrowth of "saving" faith.  If your faith is of the other variety.  Oh well!!  Sorry about that.

What would happen if the Triad Collection were not here?   You guys would be tearing each other up  --   because each of you has a "list of essentials" that differes with the others and you have not a clue on how God wants you handle those differences.    As long as Bill, Lance and Company are here, it is allows you(all)  to forget that you, individually, agree with no one  !!!
jt: Don't know what you are talking about JD.  The only essential on my list is loving God and obeying Him according to His Word which so far as I can tell is what DM, Izzy, Terry, and Kevin are about also (forgive me if I've missed someone).  We may not agree on every detail but we do on the essentials as you have noted above.

JD: David  -- I most certainly do understand the passage.   I stopped reading after two sentences,  David.  The first sentence reveals a continuing need to exhalt yourself at the expence of others.  The second sentence show that you have little grasp on reality.  Have a good evening.  JD
jt: The above is not loving, nor is it kind JD.  Why not encourage him in the Lord rather than take the side of the adversary.
