DM says "I have a hard time swallowing the idea that God the Father was ever mortal. Do you (DaveH) believe he was subject to death?"

Q:Do you, DM, believe that God the Son was ever mortal? Do you believe he was subject to death? Do you believe he died? How would you speak of the Triunity of God in eternity past? How would you speak of the 'Son of God' in eternity past? Are you familiar with the following terms?: 1. Immanent Trinity 2. Economic Trinity 3. Logos Asarkos and, do they describe any reality with which you identify and on/about which you've preached/taught?

DM says:"God the Father cannot be tempted with evil."

Q:Do you believe God the Son, when incarnate, could be tempted with evil?" How real were His temptations throughout His earthly life? Utilizing your own terminology and Scripture have you preached on this?

Is this what you personally believe?

I have a hard time swallowing the idea that God the Father was ever mortal.  Do you believe he was subject to death?  How do you deal with James who testifies that God the Father cannot even be tempted with evil?

Peace be with you.
David Miller.
