It does mean two totally different Saviors DaveH.  To begin with God is Spirit and your sect makes Him into some kind of a physical body.  When Jesus said "If you have seen me you have seen the Father" he was not talking about his  physical presence.  From what I am reading Mormonism tries to make God into man's image.  jt

DAVEH:  Do you  believe Jesus (God) today consists of a spirit clothed in a resurrected physical  body, Judy?  I thought Scripture was pretty plain about that.  Before Jesus came into mortality, he certainly was God in a spirit for as he is described in the OT.  Until the incarnation, that accurately described him.    However, once he became a resurrected being, the Bible seems pretty explicit about him having a body of flesh and bone that clothes that spirit.  And there is no reason to think he does not remain a resurrected being today, possessing a physical body of flesh and bone housing his spirit.   Do you disagree, Judy?

As for my religion trying to make God into man's image.....I think you have that backwards.  I  just recognize that we are in his image--probably more literally than most Christians would feel comfortable.   That you are a child of your parents, does that mean that you define your parents?   Not at all.  You are defined by them.  Likewise, we are defined by our Heavenly Father.   We are in his image.  Do you not believe that......

......when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.   1Jn 3:2

.......Judy???  If not, then in whose image do you think we were created?

FWIW....I may be wrong in my assumptions of what you believe about the following, but follow along to get a feel for what I am trying to say:

1)  I assume you believe Jesus was born of a virgin mother.  I believe the same.

2)  As I understand it, you believe Jesus was conceived by the Holy Ghost.   I do not.   I believe he is literalerally the Son of God, being conceived of the genetic (if that is the correct term) material of our Heavenly Father by the power of the Holy Ghost.

3)  You believe Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected 3 days later.   I believe the same.

Now, the above is a somewhat simplistic example, but I think it illustrates the point.  On two of the three points we agree.  On one we disagree.  Does that mean that we believe in two totally different Saviors?   Not in my opinion.
