My father always reminded me that Paul's sermon in Athens is one of the most
talked about sermons in seminaries, yet it was one of the most unsuccessful
sermons in the Bible.

Uh... just about every time? Insulting the present culture is a method of
drawing a crowd. Read Matthew 23 sometime to see Jesus in action using the
"insult the culture" method. You won't learn it in cemetary, uh, I mean
seminary. You learn it only in the Bible and from modern day preachers who
implement it.

Peace be with you.
