Ah, but Bill you stop too early. Read to the next verse which says: 1Co 1:31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. Christ is the only means by which we may see wisdom and righteousness and santification, and it's important to keep this in mind, lest the wise man mistakenly glory in his wisdom, or the mighty man glory in his might, or the rich man glory in his riches (Jer. 9:23). We are righteous just as the rich man spoken of by Jeremiah is wealthy. By your interpretation of this verse, the rich man is made rich with I.O.U.'s. He is rich today by the promise of wealth tomorrow. If God tells me he has made me a rich woman, and furthermore He says He expects me to live luxuriously, I should expect some serious cash in my pocket right now. And some massive pockets too, by the way. Blessings! --- Bill Taylor <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Judy writes > And Dave lest they forget you should > also be aware that God has extremely bad eyesight so > that he does not see any imperfection in these ppl > with the eschatalogical salvation.
