There is no Biblical evidence There is no scientific evidence   In fact the bible is contrary to this view Blaine:  Just for the record, I read a book on near-death experiences, wherein the writer said he had learned during one such experience that he was a child of God and existed as a spirit being before taking a mortal body.  He said we all were of the same background and origin.  Numerous others have had similar experiences.
