The context of my remarks, David, has to do with considerations within the body of Christ. I should have spelled that out for those who commit to a casual reading of posted statements here on TT. I mentioned three considerations: interpretations, visions and assignments. I speak of how these workings apply to those within the body of Christ.
More specifically, since YOU introduced your belief of a Messiah into the discussion, I believe that your thinking on the Messiah is off track. The Messah IMO is the end of law, the force of reconciliation, the eternal Son of God and thus God Himself, and the one in whom, through whom and because of whom I am considered to be righteous before God. I hasten to add that my considered opinion of these things is rooted in a humility that screams out to God my inadequacies as a moralist and a thinker.
It is, indeed, pride that ignores our own inabilities and weaknesses. It is indeed pride that argues that we must be right, that what we think and do is critical to that aspect of salvation that puts us all in Good Company. That, IMO, is the kind of heresy that leads one away from the very God he/she claims to serve and may even prevent His power from completing the work of saving us from ourselves (a second aspect of salvation.)
So, yes, I guess I am serious, when it is all said and done.

So if I think that my belief that Jesus is the Messiah is something that cannot be wrong, then it is pride (sin)? Are you serious? Peace be with you.
