As to the supposed contradiction: It has to do with the expression 'believes
in'. None of us, as JD has said, relies on those teachings as finally
determinative for our 'faith' in God through Christ.
As for ALL of our interpretations, as expressed on TT, BSF, home church
meetings, Street Preaching etc. these also are 'the teachings of men'. These
are not oracular in nature. One might, I suppose, just quote Scripture,
Genesis through Revelation but, any selective quotations, in the act of
choosing are 'interpretive'. Do you get my point now?

Lance, you seem to be contradicting yourself. JD said that not one person
on TruthTalk believes in "doctrines of men." You said he was quite
correct.
Now you define both Judy and I as having interpretations of Scripture
which
are doctrines of men. It seems to me that you are just trying to be
contrary and not really thinking about this issue.
In my opinion, there is quite a bit that I believe that is the doctrine of
men. The only time it would pose a problem is if I violate the doctrine
of
God in order to keep my confidence in the doctrines of men.
Peace be with you.
David Miller.
