"THE commandments", just as Jesus said. Even "the LEAST of the
commandments". izzy

Just to be clear: 5:19 --- no one is teaching
the abandonment of what is commanded. By the way, what are these
commands that you defend?
19:17 In our obedience, there is much left undone ---
exactly..

Matthew 5:19
"Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 19:17
And He said to him, "Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments."

The correct way of saying it is
this: nobody has the power to walk as Christ walked.
"Works of the law" is "obedience to the law."
There is no other way, exegetically speaking, to consider those
words.

Please stop
bearing false witness against me. Nobody has the power to walk
as Christ walked
without the cross.
You confuse
obedience with works. They are not the
same. My obedience is
not a work.
My obedience comes out of my relationship with someone
I love.
Peace be with
you.
