Following is what I was referencing, and it clearly is speaking about how the Holy Spirit will do the work of making sure that WE are able to apprehend the truth after Jesus is no longer bodily with us. John 16:12-14 (12) I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. (13) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. What is your ruler, Lance? It apparently is not the truth, but rather your ruler is simply the observation of different viewpoints. You use your own self as the standard in this case. This is not a good idea. What you are actually doing here is twisting what is written on TruthTalk to fit your preconceived notion that everyone is in error. From a logical standpoint, imagine if there was one person on TruthTalk who was absolutely correct in every way concerning truth and Scripture. This would be possible, right? How would you know otherwise? Suppose you came before God and he pointed out to you that this person never was in error. Every post he made to TruthTalk was certified by God himself as being 100% accurate and infallible. Before coming before God and hearing this for yourself, how would you know it ahead of time? How could you appear before God prepared, knowing that at least one person on TruthTalk did not twist Scripture? Answer this question and you will be on your way to using a straight ruler rather than a crooked and mismarked ruler in making your judgments. Peace be with you.
