Hey, ding-a-ling   ---  what was Judy's point?   You can't go wrong when you quote the scripture verbatim  !!!!!!!    My point is that "here is verbatim and it is wrong."   So how do we correct it?  by changing the punctuation.   And why do we do that,  Big Guy??   Because of our understanding of other passages of scripture.   Wow !!   Judy finally gets around to quoting a rule used in her hermeneutic and it was wrong !!!     Most of the time, you can just pick up the Bible,  read a sentence or two and know what God has said on that subject.    Please do not show continued ignorance by arguing with the Smithmeister n this one.   Here you got G and BillyT with their education and all, wondering  "why am I here,"  knowing that all they have to do to keep up with you guys is write while AWAKE.  !!!   Geeeeze.
So what do you guys do?   Spend time  (read: waste time) teaching me that my punctuation is wrong because stealing is wrong  (Duh !!!).   It's kind of like some of us are getting ready for the prom while others are all excited about recess !!!!

If what you guys believe is true, the Book need only be thirty or forty verses long.   But it is not a legal document.   It is a history of the chosen people of God from Adam to present times.

Nice try but you left out the whole council of God
Anyone with a little sense could see this is against the intent of the rest of scripture and quite a few other scriptures at that
Thou shalt not steal
Now you must tamper with that one also.
Many have tried, look at Ole joe.
Sometimes he had 3 different versions (translations) of a KJV scripture between the JST the D&C & BoM

A nice example of twisting Scripture, but this isn't exactly quoting
Scripture verbatim, is it.

Are you in agreement with Lance that you have twisted Scripture, you do
twist Scripture, and you will twist Scripture in the future?

Peace be with you.
David Miller.
