Yes but here you talk about distributing your modifications.
If you give your modified Tryton version to someone-else, you must give him
the source code and your changes must be under a compatible GPL license.
But if you don't give the modified Tryton version, you have any obligation to
distribute or publish it.

So my question is, if I write an application that uses an unmodified version of
Tryton and distribute binaries of that application along with Tryton, does my
application have to be GPL licensed?
