We'll look into it, but that would be something totally unrelated to the installer as is, but rather a standalone floppy that has a network configuration interface and grabs the initrd over the network, stores it on tempfs, mounts it, and pivot_roots into it, then running /sbin/init. It is very doable, but is as I said a standalone project, not really installer-related at all. If anyone wants this and is proficient in C, they could write a small static binary thing that fits on a floppy and does that. I can even set up a mailing list for it, if anyone is interested. The point is that this utility would be generic and simply set up network and then download the specified initrd from somewhere. c -- Christian H.
