I concur. Quote and trim is fundamentally important for mailing list
communication. The point most often forgotten is trimming of quoted text

There are the issues related to RAID, solved in 3.0 by the horribly
botched introduction of EVMS.

Now, I myself have never really used RAID much, mostly because I find
RAID-0/1 largely useless. I would use RAID-5 however, if I were to build
a new file server using todays large disks where backups are cumbersome,
whilst the loss of data from a single failure would be enormous.

Just a few years back, a loss og 45GB was something of a blow, but I
could easily regain the stored data from several sources.. But now that
I've started to use 500GB disks, a single failure is more catastrophic.
