Emachines - T2642, 2.6 Hhz, 256 Ram, 40 Gig HD
Had about 3 years.
Note: Writing this from an alternate system.
About 3 weeks ago my PC suddenly wouldn't work. I turn it on and it
just clicks. Internal Fan won't run (will twitch for a moment when I
power up). Initally it spontaneously started working again after a
couple of days and was good for a week, but it has been dead in the
water ever since. Just to look at it companies charge up to $100 with
a speculated fix at up to another $200 :-(
Any ideas. Any voltage points I can check or pictures I can send to help.
Note: Don't know what's normal, but the processor gets extremely hot
within seconds of turning it on.
