The turbine framework modules run in a servlet engine's environment that is
running within a java VM.
Depending on the model and configuration of the servlet engine and the
application, more than one VM will run at the same time. Thus, a properly
implemented Java VM supporting at least the Java 1.2 specification for your
hardware and the operating system will suffer the needs of "turbine".
Hence, check if a suitable JVM is available for BSD on the designated
hardware platform and if its usable even within the virtual server.
Beneath aspects of the "basic runtime environment", i would take into
consideration at least aspects like "thread safety" and "resource
consumption" of the turbine application(s) as a whole, especially when
running it in a virtual server using probably more than one CPU within one
box. However, these concerns focus on any java application running in a
multi cpu and/or virtual environment, not just on turbine. Check for the
java groups for this!

Niko
