starting with turbine 2.x a good idea ?

Hi,

just wanted to hear some opinions..
I want to start with a framework like Turbine but i am getting a little
concerned that my effort
in learning 2.x is going to be lossed ? Should i wait until 3.x arrives or
move to another framework ?
