2.1 is the only official release. you should use it and update to use 2.2 as
soon as it is available (2.2 includes tons of fixes)
there will be a migration tool in tdk which should make it easy to move from 2.x
to 3.0.
usoing 3.0alpha is not a good idea, as it changes daily ...
