This was a proposal from a colleague of mine how to change the schema for use with Turbine.
I have also looked into the Ldap matter on several occasions; I usually try to pick it up when I think the pressure at work is easing off then unfortunaely it seems to kick in again sucking up all my time. Now I feel like a broken down record player saying each time that I'll look into it :-( I have looked at the code and made some small changes to get it to work, yes I got *authenticaion* working. The question I think has to asked, what do we want to achieve here? Pure authentication in Ldap and the rest (of the turbine roles etc) in the DB? Or replicate what we have now working in a DB in Ldap? Or....? If it's the first then the present code almost achieves this, if it's the latter then there's more work required. And how does this fit in with the security in V3? If there was a discussion on this with a clear outcome I would gladly fix the code to achieve that aim. Unfortunately that would have to be after my hols, I'm off to Mexico on Wednesday for 3.5 weeks :-)) /Colin > I have found an LDAP schema proposal at this URL : > > http://jakarta.apache.org/turbine/turbine-2/howto/ldap-howto.html > > Is this aborted too ? > Is there somebody working on this topic ? > > e-salutations and thanks to all people for responses > > David > > > > Daniel Rall wrote: > > >Scott is correct.
