Hello! thx for your reply. yes i want torque support, but i also want a stable, production quality turbine :-) is 2.4 production ready?
i tried TDK 2.2 but have also problems setting up correkt. i read the article found on the wiki, but hm ... i worked through all the stuff and finally got a running tdk sample application, but i ignored the maven stuff because i don't like to indroduce maven right now in my company. great, the sample application is running through the url http://server:8080/portal/servlet/portal :-) the strange url issue could be solved with apache and some mod_rewrite rules i guess... but: i then tried to build a war with the ant task "deploy-war" so i can deploy the application on another web containers, hopefully without tdk. the other problems arises: the target "assemble-webapp-in-container" have problems with the following task: <!-- Move the application configuration files into position. --> <copy todir="${build.webappRoot}/WEB-INF/conf"> <fileset dir="src/conf"/> </copy> where's the fileset src/conf ? i commented out this block and the war was build. but the directory layout inside the war looks somehow strange: portal.war --- portal --- templates |- resources |- logs |- ... |- META-INF |- WEB-INF --- classes |- src |- conf |- lib |- build |- ... and i can't deploy this war wether to a tomcat 4.0.6 nor to a 4.1.27. even if i move the contents of the directory "portal" up one level to the first directory "portal" under "webapps" from tomcat. the only thing i think i can do is to use the complete tdk 2.2 directory on the production server. any ideas on how to bulid a war for deployment on a tomcat 4.1.27 ? am i able to do this more comfortable with turbine 2.3 or 2.4? and could maven do this without this hacks i need to do with tdk? if so, then a the company which rules the world with ERP software would use a portal build on top of turbine in maybe 2 months ;-) i'm very motivated to do this portal with turbine, but the deadline comes closer and closer... :-( thx, Chris Am Thu, Dec 18, 2003 at 06:55:50PM +0100, Eric Pugh meinte: > > Do you want Torque support?
