Hi Chris, For another way of building Turbine apps without using Maven, it uses Ant, you can try out the demo skeleton app I've provided. The directory structure is consistent as that of the TDK. The build is used for creating .war files for Tomcat 4.0.x, 4.1.x, and 5.1.x.
