I guess i've fallen behind on my knowledge of XML, i do not know what an XML
Schema is. I'm going to read through this doc
http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlschema-1/ then i'll reply to this issue.

Any RDBMS schema will do... and i'm sure there are plenty to choose from.

-1 the struture of mapping a object's attributes to a table columns is
static, look at the ClassMap class hierarchy in the design, all we need to
do is model this in XML hence the DTD.
