Thank you for noticing this.
I have spent the last 2 weeks or so in quite a bit of private email
discussions with the author of WM (Justin Wells) as well as others. He is
changing his license to be something that the ASF can accept, the SPL. If
you notice, it has gone through quite a bit of revision in the last few
weeks. :-)

At this point though, it is finally a bit more stable (v0.22) and is
currently up for review by a Collab.Net employee (the same guy who convinced
Netscape to OS Mozilla, Frank Hecker). After that, I will present it to the
ASF to get their approval.
Justin wants to work with us and he wants Turbine to include WM. He also
wants to make it so that we can use WM in the ways that we want to
(commercial enterprise). He is well aware of the fact that Turbine currently
distributes a copy of WM.jar and is ok with that for now. We will eventually
fix this issue when his new license is accepted by the ASF. Thus, part of
Turbine's release is currently being held up by all of this. Ug.
As far as the FM license is concerned, we should be ok with distributing and
using the software because it is LGPL and doesn't carry the same exact viral
'ness as the GPL. When we do a release, we will also include the source code
to FM as well as links to download it in order to make sure that we are
compliant.
Yes, I do look out for this project.
Yes, I do respect licenses.
Yes, I do strongly hate the GPL. :-)
