I haven't spent too much time on the details yet, but that's basically what I'm
envisioning - a logging daemon (remote or local - the client shouldn't care)
accessible via XML-RPC and/or SOAP. In such a scenario, the Turbine service is
really nothing more than an XML-RPC/SOAP service with a less generic interface.
