I've been thinking about a Turbine logo fo a while and been looking
around the web for possible graphics (Boeing, Airbus, GE, P&W, RollsRoyce, MAN).

To ge an idea of what's possible, I've made a draft mockup page with
all of the graphics and alternate fonts in it (sorry for beeing large).
Some better graphic assembly, better color choosing, and scaling is
still necessary.

Please take a look at the idea and sample graphics at:
  ftp://ftp.dfd.dlr.de/put/reck/TurbineLogo/turbine_logo.html

It contains a link to a 368K TurbineLogo.tar.gz file with all the samples.
Please note that the img-alt tag has the name of the font. The line images
of the jet-planes could be basis for other logo ideas.

I'm sending this to join up forces with Rafal, who is working on a page
design - to provide some (hopefully useful input).

Let me know if I can provide some more help.
:-) Christoph
