We need to update the logo based upon concrete suggestions,
Jon is doing great in his directing comments, but we keep voting on
an incomplete 1.gif. I posted some alternatives of which some ideas
may flow into 1.gif (I did not expect it to be final). If we pick
the good ideas out of several suggestions, we can put together one/some
final logo(s) to vote on.

+1 Overall design
   * I would recommend adding something to the right to balance the logo
out, in the line of (the jetstream holding the title text)
     ftp://ftp.dfd.dlr.de/put/reck/TurbineLogo/turbine.thml
   * 1.gif had a bug with the r and b touching giving a cluttered look,
     http://www.exosci.com/turbine/1.1/fire2.gif has fixed this

   * the color choice is what I also mean, the orage should be a bit
softer... (soft blue/orange do fit together IMHO)
   * The axis of the turbine could be round e.g. filled in by yellow
(lets try not to move completely away from the word meaning), even
     though the star looks good.
   * Daniel also has added some color to 1.gif in
     http://www.exosci.com/turbine/1.1/fire2.gif (and others there)
in my opinion red/yellow is to strong, the font should be
different than black - to differentiate it from the page text.
   * should the background be transparent or shall we take white
     (allows better anti-aliasing).
(the r anb b should not be touching).

OK I tend to like to make things complete, all visible at once, yet
avoiding cluttering... - it was just to give an idea, before settling
for less :-)

+1
   * a simple 6-point rotational symbol is ok.
   * but please take a look a something a bit more turbine like, as
     my 12 blade ftp://ftp.dfd.dlr.de/put/reck/TurbineLogo/6.gif
(I can crisp it up if anyone votes for it, maybe straightening
the blades a bit, removing the speckles, and adding an axis)
   * I did like the Rafal/Damian turbine sections, but having it
showing only a quarter seems a bit half hearted (you tend to
try to see more - but don't get it). Scaling it further down
to a powered-by logo would loose the appearance completely.

getting there.

Im I making sense or just noise here?

Any further opinions, other summary and/or choices?
