I was thinking this was a property that already existed, but it must have
been something I added and did not remember adding it. I suppose it should
probably be a TemplateService property since that is what it is used for.

I do not like default.template as the name for the default.layout.template
as one example.

No these are replaced by the TemplateService specific properties.
TurbineTemplateService still uses the module.cache property to decide
whether to cache the name relationships.
