There are no examples of using JSP. A tag library has been written
which implements Turbine's layout/navigation/screen modularization, but
I think I never checked in the actual tld file, all the classes are in
place, however. I was trying to decide where would be the best place to
put any tag libraries that get added to Turbine.
Beyond that I have been trying to create a tag library that makes use of
Velocity's Context and implements a foreach loop and an if-elseif-else
conditional. I was thinking that a WebMacro-like Context would make JSP
friendlier to non-Java developers. Since I am not an expert at either
JSP or Velocity and I am extremely busy the development has been slow.
I started researching this project before Velocity was born as I wanted
Turbine to have an alternative to WebMacro that was acceptable to a lot
of people. Now that Velocity exists and WebMacro dual licensed I have
not felt the pressure to finish it.
But it is my hope that this would make it very easy to switch between
using Velocity or JSP templates. Hopefully I can complete it soon.
