These past few days have seen me taken offline by a pain in the butt project
for work, and I apologize. What I'm going to do to try to make up for it is
begin posting a weekly status update. I'll do this every Monday night. It
might be earlier some Monday nights, it might be later. But it will go out,
even if all I can do is say "Sorry, but this is a very bad week, nothing got
done". I hope that never happens, but it could. In fact, I can foresee it as
a possibility by the end of the month due to a major switch happening at
work.

I'm going to break this up into three sections, and they're mostly
chronological. "What Got Done?" "Where Are We Now?" "What Is On The Slate
For The Next Week?"

*What Got Done?*

   - Thanks to Christoph, I've learned a few new pieces of Mercurial. I
still don't much like the rebase extension, but it did the job. He showed me
what I needed to know, and thanks to that, we now have all the TG2
repositories that were on bitbucket converted to git and uploaded to SF.
Check them out at https://sourceforge.net/p/pylonsproject/tg2/home/ .
   - Christoph has begun looking at the steps for getting TG1 migrated to
sf.net. It sounds like Trac will take some effort.
   - I started to look at uploading web pages for the TG2 subproject, as
this is something needed for both TG1 and TG2. There is something odd about
it (that Mark Ramm was unable to help clear up in short order, due to him
being in Brussels right now), and I have opened a ticket with SF for it. The
   ticket is at https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/sourceforge/ticket/17292 .
Hoepfully, we will get an answer tomorrow sometime that will allow us to
begin testing out uploading of various files for use in the subprojects.

*Where Are We Now?*

   - I failed to learn enough about the new issue tracker we have available.
I simply ran out of time.
   - I am working on learning git. Even though I can work using Mercurial, I
might as well learn to use the tool that has been chosen as best for the
job. Hopefully I can become productive with it sometime this week.
   - The repositories are on SF.net using git.
   - The remainder of the website is still in transition. It is likely to
take considerable time before we can consider the move complete.

*What Is On The Slate For Next Week?*

   - I am looking to write a script that pulls the data from Trac for TG2,
and then massages it into something that can be uploaded to the SF tracker.
I'm not sure if this can be completed in this coming week or not. I'm going
   to try.
   - I am planning on getting the website available on sf.net.
   - Assuming no one finds any issues with the git repositories, I am
planning on deleting the bitbucket repositories at the end of next week
(after making a local backup of course, just in case). Also will set up
pointers to point to SF, so that people can find out where things moved to.
   - I will, of course, be trying to answer whatever questions I can see on
the ML. I'm sorry I wasn't very responsive the past few days.

My personal todo list for TG is growing. Maybe I'll put it out there once we
complete the transition, so that people can help out with it.

For now, let's keep these gears in motion.
