Hi,

We'd prefer to use sqlalchemy since it has a better license
and looks like it is going to be the long term supported project. I was
wondering if sqlalchemy support is ready to use yet?

for 0.1 yes for 0.2 I believe it's being develop.

I tried downloading the current svn trunk and ran tg-admin quickstart but the
resulting project won't run. I get a message about TGVisit not having
an attribute mapper_extension.

this is because the mapper was in the core in 0.1 and is an extension in 0.2

I assume this has to do with the change in the sqlalchemy api from 0.1 to 0.2? At this point I'm mainly doing a little research work to see how sqlalchemy support is going and to try
out some of the newer features in Turbogears. (like widgets.)

the idea is to provide a simple migration path.

If you'd like to see our project you can have a look at
www.enronemails.com You'll need to register...

I'm lost here you don't want sqlobject because it's too open for a close project or too close for an open project?
